The 3M model 8577 has been designed with braided headband and soft inner material that provides additional comfort. It also comes with an adjustable M nose clip and advanced electret media to provide ease of breathing. The 3M 8577 model has been incorporated with adjustable M nose clip and 3M proprietary technology. This advanced technology provides ease of breathing through electrostatically charged microfiber filter media. This model is more spacious and durable compared to other P95 level particulate respirators.
The 3M 8577 particulate respirator is intended to be used in clinical lab settings, foundry applications and industrial environments, such as agriculture, petrochemical and undercoating. The 3M 8577 particulate respirator helps protect against certain oil and non-oil-based particles and organic vapors (solvents, degreasers, and resins) that are generally present in these environments.
Level of protection:
The 3M model 8577 medical mask has been certified as a respirator by NIOSH. This model also provides at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against both oil and non-oil-based particles (Approved by NIOSH). According to the guidelines by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this particulate respirator can be used as surgical masks in the operating room facilities.
The 3M 8577 particulate respirator has been incorporated with a carbon layer that reduces the exposure to extreme levels of organic vapors. This model has been designed with Cool Flow Exhalation valve technology to reduce the heat generated inside the respirator.
